Summer is tantalisingly close now. We’ve been teased by flashes of the sun, tempted by the smell of the neighbour’s barbecue, indulged ourselves in a couple of beer gardens but this is not enough; it's merely a taster of what’s to come this British summer and we are impatient!

So, whilst we’re waiting for the temperature to rise and the drinks to cool, it’s time to start planning our summer outfits.

One of the really awesome things about designer vintage clothing is that a lot of the time it’s truly timeless. This means that it can be worn at any time without the fear of appearing outdated. However, this does mean that not all of it is precisely on trend for all of those militant fashion fiends out there (although, fashion does go round and round so quite often it will be!). This is why we’ve put together a few ideas on how to best accessorise some of our vintage clothing to make each outfit seem like something out of a Topshop/man ad.

Floral turns Feisty

This season, once again the timeless floral print is dominating the summer trends. However, this year, floral meets quirky in the 2017 rendition of summer florals. Jazz up this lovely piece by wearing it with a pair of Converse, a choker and hoop earrings for a modern yet vintage look.

The Real All Star

Converse is a classic designer who has never gone out of style and never will. Popular amongst people off all sexes, ages and demographics, Converse is a real classic. In order to turn this T into a modern phenomenon, we recommend pairing it with a pair of high waisted denim shorts, trainers and a selection of different length necklaces.

The 90s Comeback

It's no secret that the 90s look has made a massive comeback of late, and we say run with it. It's a comfy, cool and alternative look that can be personalised to suit your own personal taste. Here, we've gone for a pair of vintage Levi's jeans paired with a crop top and chunky sandals - a classic look with a 2017 twist.
