Constantly being in the spotlight of the public eye is a difficult place to be. Whilst most of us consider the lifestyles of celebrities to be the ideal way to live; being followed by photographers, having a huge fanbase, travelling etc... In reality, the pressure of being scrutinised by the rest of society whenever you leave your front door can really take its toll.

A big part of this glamorous lifestyle is fashion - it always has been and it always will be. Being seen in the same outfit more than once will get you whacked onto the first page of The Sun being branded 'a recycler' (like it's a bad thing?!) or not having enough money or inspiration to find something original. Similarly, the ability to find unique and interesting items of clothing is a must for the 2017 celebrity, whether it's to walk around town in, head to the red carpet or just to put up on Instagram.

As a result of these demanding and not always achievable criterium, celebrities have opted to go for vintage clothing to create a unique and stylish look that is enviable amongst other celebs and fans alike. Of course, not all celebrities go for the more environmentally friendly, chic preloved style, but the ones that do totally smash it.

The beauty of wearing vintage clothing is that you can wear an individual piece that has a heritage and a story. Similarly, in an age where society is increasingly concerned about sustainability and the impact that fast disposable fashion is having on the environment and workers in third world countries, vintage is undoubtedly, always a great choice.

Rihanna

Rihanna is renowned for her quirky and cool dress sense that has captured the imagination of teens and young women over the past decade. Her ability to make both everyday fashion and eccentric, bizarre outfits look as cool and effortless as she does is truly remarkable, which is why we're so pleased to find her wearing vintage designer clothing

Alexa Chung

A true fashion icon who prides herself on her mode and attributes her unique and beautiful style to the help of vintage clothing. Alexa Chung has been at the centre of the vintage clothing craze for years and years and is showing no stopping to her special and whimsical style choices.

Agyness Deyn

A less well known vintage endorser, but a fashion icon nonetheless, is model Agyness Deyn who has honed the designer vintage clothing look down to a t. With a mixture of vintage t-shirts, neon leggings, ball gowns and fancy gloves, Agyness' look is unpredictable and mesmerising. Her use of different styles of vintage from different eras  allows her to pull off pretty much any outfit she puts together.

Fearne Cotton
Children's TV presenter turned style icon Fearne Cotton has been very vocal about her love for vintage fashion and the influence it has on her fashion choices. So much so, that Fearne even has her own fashion show where she was recently filmed shopping with The Saturday's Mollie King on a vintage shopping challenge.

Kate Moss
Kate Moss is without a doubt one of the most famous names in fashion and luckily for us, she's also a big fan of vintage fashion. Kate often talks about how she enjoys combining different eras and types of fashion together in one outfit to give her a unique and distinctive look. Possibly one of Kate's most famous vintage looks was her vintage satin dress at the Fashion Gala in 2007 where unfortunately she ripped the beautiful gown but tied it in a bow at the back and carried on with the night regardless - a true fashion hero!

So there we have it, if they love designer vintage clothing then you don't have any excuse!
