Our Favourite Vintage Athleisure Picks for Spring
Although it may not feel like it just yet, spring is due any moment! Spring is one of our favourite seasons for fashion. It’s definitely the easiest of fashions, with no strong desire to wear something to keep you warm or to cool you down - it’s the neutral fashion and one that we love to channel through our designer vintage clothing.
Athleisure has become one of the most popular fashion movements over the past 3-5 years, but of course has its origins in the late 80s and early 90s. Having evolved this time around from the convenience of wearing comfortable, fashionable and good quality clothes and coupled with the flattering aesthetic, athleisure has gone (and is still growing) strength to strength, with many retailers bringing out their own lines of athleisure alongside their usual ranges.
Here at Messina Hembry, athleisure has been on our radar for a long time - waiting for it to swing back round into fashion, we've kept some fantastic designer vintage athleisure ready for when the time comes for it to be back in the spotlight.

Adidas Jacket
April-showers proof, windproof and fashion proof, this Adidas jacket is the vintage item you've always needed for spring. Easy to match with a variety of different under layers, trousers or jeans, the light blue and white will keep you looking and feeling fresh, regardless of the changeable weather.
Nike Top
Vintage Nike is bang on trend for spring 2018. With a variety of light, durable materials, flattering styles and the iconic tick visible on their clothes, this Nike top is at the top of our list for athleisure must-haves for this season. If there's one thing you need this season, it's a good solid red jumper! Red is the colour of 2018 and is not a trend to be missed! KAPPA Jacket
Absolutely one of the most on trend items we currently stock is this awesome vintage KAPPA jacket in royal blue. Almost identical to their current stock, their vintage clothing comes in at a fraction of the price but is just as strong on quality, aesthetic and pretty much everything else! Get your hands on it just in time for spring and walk like you're on a catwalk (or in the Fresh Prince).

Along with the athleisure trend, brings with it older sports' brands that have been able to make a comeback with their designs.
